I was sitting quietly on the shoreline early one morning waiting for a distant Common Loon to approach. I noticed something run by me. It was a small American Mink.
It noticed that I was sitting there and after a few seconds it ran back to shore. A few minutes later it got up enough nerve to pass me again and headed out to the end of a point of rocks. It dove underwater a couple of times and then came up with this large crayfish.
It ran past me again with its breakfast and I was fortunately enough to catch a couple of photos before it disappeared.
