Not hyperbole.
Nor is it Canon one upping the competition,
No, Cal Tech has a camera capable of capturing frames so fast it can show us the path of light itself!

well, I'll never complain about having to sift thru 20fps again... "watching a bullet at this speed would literally take years to view"

Coming to the R1 Mk 5000.
I'll pass on the R5 or R6 model that gets it as you will only have the choice of 1 or 1000000000000000 fps.

I will wait until AI improves to where it can choose the single best frame out of the above number! ;-)a
I do not find great pleasure in postprocessing (not anywhere close to the darkroom!), so minimizing the 'necessary evil' is highly beneficial to me.

In some specialized areas, that is already happening! AI can find things not initially detected even by trained eyes.

I saw this a few years back . If your interested in a bit more detail, Ramesh Raskar gave a Ted Talk about the research out of MIT and he has a few more demos as well. Interesting stuff.

It took our youngest daughter more than 6 months to select wedding photos from among thousands presented to her, so I do not put high hopes on seeing your selection for a few decades!
 :p

Because if they turned on the feature, you would likely complain that you have to now buy a new harddrive for each second of shooting, and you do not have enough power strips to plug them all in, and the Lightroom SQL-lite database cannot handle them all, and your O/S cannot store all the files in a single folder because the folder directory fills up.
