While the eagles in the Annapolis Valley are preparing for their annual feed of chickens, the eagles of Northern Nova Scotia are already feasting on beef. This farmer has a cattle farm and an abbatoir, and he feeds the remains to the local eagle population. Yesterday there were an estimated 120 of them in and around the field.

That first one, in particular, is a prize-winner, Ian; well done, indeed.

Thanks very much Al and Chris. That first one is my fave of the day too. The day was overcast so I didn't have to deal with the bright sun blowing out the white heads.

Great to see some new work from ya, Ian! I particularly like that combat shot at #3...great interaction capture!

I’m doing well, thanks, Ian. Just waiting for a drab winter to end!
No Florida this winter?
I hope you and yours are well?

Winter is about to start here tomorrow night Levina. The ground is green today nut 20-30 cm coming. Florida has way too much COVID for me, so I'm staying close to home. Maybe next winter.
