First off, I want to keep the same lenses and use on both cameras. NOT looking for a full frame camera. I am not retiring the 60D (18mp), just plan on getting a 24 or higher megapixel and have 2 cameras.
List of lenses I currently own:

Canon EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS
Tamron SP 70-300mm f/4.0-5.6 Di VC USD
Sigma 10-20mm f/4-5.6
Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II

Style of photography is I like close up, family portraits and such. Also like to reach out to longer range for wild life.
Debating between the 77D and an 80D. From what I understand they are very comparable for a novice/amature guy like me.
Anyone have experience with these or say the T7i? What else would make a great second camera for a budget price?
Budget = just retired 6 months ago on a veteran's disability.... not very damn much at all.

PS: The 60D is only 2 years old with a very small shutter count at only 1400. Just want a second camera.

You should love your wife/husband more than your equipment, even if the equipment has been around longer!

The 80D/90D will be more similar to what you have; the 77D is a Rebel class body and user interface.

I have a friend who asked me to acquaint him with the 77D after he bought it just prior to a trip to France. I found it more disruptive to switch between its UI and that of the nnD.

80D. My wife has shot two of them for years -- one with EF-S 18-135 and the other with the EF 70-300 II (not L). She gets great results. She went to the 80D from a 70D and then added the second 80D a couple of years later. She still loves her cameras. :-)

An 80D would complement your 60D very well.

Image editing ok; C&C always welcome.

The 80D is a nice camera. I have played with a friend's a couple of times and have been really impressed with the images.
