Hey everyone.

For quite some time I spent thinking about which incident light meter to get, but I hear and read mixed reviews everywhere. Online, as well as in my preferred store.

Basically, the cost should not exceed EUR 150-200, but the light meter should be reliable, preferably small and working... well... accurate :)

Thanks in advance,

F.

Not sure of the $ to Euros either, but I can recommend the Sekonic L-358 as a good all-round meter. It does both reflected and incident readings for both continuous light sources as well as flash sources. It even shows the balance between the two light source types in a mixed-lighting situation.

Thanks so far, heard about Sekonics already. EUR 200 is close to USD 240, sorry for not mentioning that.

At one time Gossen was a well respected name among pros. Then Minolta was a well respected name among pros. It seems now that Sekonic seems popular. (Interest, I chose to buy Minolta over a decade ago because the Sekonic used an oddball digital-analog display of f/stop '4' or '5.6' was digital, but fractions of an f/stop used an odd 'clockface' and you had to COUNT SEGMENTS to know precisely if it was showing 'f/4 + 0.3 EV')

I was going to recommend the Sekonic L-358 also, although I don't own one myself thats the one I plan on buying in the future based on what I have read about them and the reviews posted here.
