Given what is happening in Ukraine, not surprising.

Don't bother with it, at version 1.0.1 it's one very buggy and incomplete mess. The Windows version barely even launches, if at all. The Mac version runs but with great pain and numerous headaches as a result.

Quote from the Luminar community:

"Hi, I am a 72 year old chap who loves to take photographs and then do post editing with my Skylum products. I have most if not all the products and versions I do believe.

I have Aurora HDR, Luminar 2018, Luminar Flex, Luminar 3, Luminar 4, Luminar Ai, and now Luminar NEO.

Please can the people that matter please make a download to rectify this problem.....there is no way I will run this programme in its present state and follow possible remedy's to rectify the problem. I will not take advice from other people [as knowledgeable they may be] it is the problem of the developers of NEO to make this good. I purchased a programme.....IT DOES NOT WORK. please fix it or reimburse me. "

We should not be surprised at delays and quality problems at Skylum. They now have a Russian invasion to deal with.

The NEO team just posted another update. Very interesting since they are in an active war zone! So sad what's happening over there.

I've been fooling around with it for a couple days. The last upgrade seems to speed things up a bit. I like the AI masking a lot but it doesn't copy well when applying to other images. Sky replacement struggles with white subjects near the horizon. My biggest problems with the software are the asset management (or lack of) and the starting point of editing. Their presets are horrible and there's no basic "auto" like in Lightroom. I can eventually get to where I want with a pic but it takes much longer. I'll keep at it doe a couple weeks but it appears this software isn't quite ready for prime time.

I actually quite like it. It gets much better with each upgrade, and is another useful option in the toolbox when you want a different look or effect than my LR or Elements delivers. I find it takes alot longer to do a RAW start to TIFF finish edit, but that is likely due to my unfamiliarity with it. Overall it seems like pretty good value for the money spent, and I look forward to seeing where it goes.

I am a newbie here at POTN and my first time joining a photography forum. Getting the feel of everything and looking at the different threads here. When I first discovered the world of photo editors it was Skylum that fit my needs at the time. Not knowing much about the different editors, I basically tried them all with the trial periods. I found Luminar to be quick with a very low learning curve and purchased Luminar 4 as my very first photo editor.
When Luminar AI came out I purchased that as well.
I loved Luminar and was quite satisfied with Skylums products for a while. Then the crashes started, and I became very frustrated and to make a very long story short, I decided to go with another product.

Me and my Canon EOS200D ..

I take pictures because it's fun!
