Hi, i currently have a couple B1's which have been great for me, i'm now looking to add a 3rd light to act as as a high key light on a boom so checkingchaning power & batteries will be more difficult during a shoot. therefore i'd like to get a main powered light.

My question, can either the D1 or D2 be coupled with the B1's in a lighting setup when using the AirTTL remote from Profoto? I've found conflicting info online.

Thanks

It looks like can, but it's still a manual-only light even with the TTL-capable triggers.

From the D1 user manual (external link):

Profoto AirTTL Remote

Profoto AirTTL Remote is intended to use with AirTTL flashes. However it also works with D1 but not in TTL or HSS (High Speed Sync) mode. It has the same functionality as the Profoto Air Remote but offers direct access to group A, B, C and has a LCD screen.

Given that the Profoto website lists the D2 as a recommended light for use with the AirTTL remote (external link), I'd assume it's TTL/HSS capable and you'd get full function with an AirTTL remote.

I'm a woman. I shoot with a Fuji X100T, Panasonic GX-7, Canon 5DmkII, and 50D. flickr stream (external link)
