These are great shots and really interesting. Are they frogs or axolotls? They look to have the frills at the side of the head that an axolotl has, but not having carefully examined spawn of either, I wouldn't know if tadpoles have them or not

They are frog eggs- the tadpoles do develop gills for a short while before losing them again.
