A very interesting variety of broken things. I narrowed it down to the 2 I liked the most. Rob with a screw lose and Ltdave's door.
I hope never to have either of these problems or any of the others for that matter.
I keep coming back to Ltdave's door as my favourite.
Thanks for all of the great submissions.
Can't wait to see what LTdave has for us for the next week.

I do hope this was not your car Ed and if so I hope you are OK.

That is (was) my car. I hit an icy patch of road on a curve and the hit the retaining wall, bounced off and hit it on the opposite side. Considering I was travelling at over 50 mph, the car was totalled but the airbags and seatbelt saved my life and that's why I drive only Volvos...

Congratulations LTdave! Well done.

Glad to hear you came out okay Ed. Icy roads are not to be taken lightly.

Good challenge Gav!

Great shots all around. Congrats to Lt Dave - very nicely done. And good to hear that only the car was broken, Ed.

My lens presented with a rattling sound when shaken, but working just fine otherwise. Finally found the cause when I took apart the assembly around the rear element (with the help of the video). Two tiny screws had somehow worked their way out of a circuit board. Put them both back in place and reassembled. Took the lens out yesterday and everything working perfectly - IS, auto focus etc. I think it speaks well of the construction of these lenses that even with two screws loose it kept on working.

Glad to hear that you are OK Ed. I know that Volvo is very well respected for their crash protection.
Glad to hear that you were able to repair the loose screw problem in your lens Rob. For the price we pay for a good quality lens they should last a life time.
