Marking all read does not mark all read...When I go back to "New Posts" still gives me 65 pages of unread posts...Any suggestions...?

It does what it says in the command confirmation popup:
"Marking all forums read marks all unvisited posts read, sets visited threads as read, clears current notifications and marks all posts seen for all followed and own threads."

It does not empty new posts listing. It clears/resets all your follow/read thread infomation as defined above.
After giving this command, all subsequent posts you have not opened in "new posts" listing are displayed in bold text.
