Without changing anything (that I am aware of) My RAW files will not open in Gimp. When I open in GIMP the RAW files come up in Darktable as usual, but when closing Darktable they do not load into GIMP like usual. Instead I get error message.

Calling error for procedure 'gimp-file-load':
Error opening file '/tmp/gimp/2.10/gimp-temp-114062.exr' for reading

and

Opening '/home/tros/Desktop/Bay Shoot/9D8A4855.CR2' failed:

Raw Canon plug-in could not open image

I have reinstalled both GIMP and Darktable and the problem still is the same.

Any idea what I need to do or not do to get this working again?

The view from the top of the mountain is the same for everyone, it doesn't matter how long it takes you to get to the top nor how often you fall nor how many people passed you on the climb. As long as you do not give up the reward is there for you.

Ok, well I only have a suspicion on what happened, but I was able to fix the problem by deleting Darktable and then installing it from the Darktable site via the terminal instead of using the app installer for Linux. Not sure what the difference is between the two versions, but the app from the site works as it should. I am guessing that an auto update loaded stuff via the App installer and overwrote with the non working version.

I have found that the app installers (currently I'm using Mint) don't keep up with new versions of software.
