I just want to say thank you to the mods of Photography-on-the-net.com for keeping this site focused (no pun intended) mostly on stills photography.
There are way too many forum and gear review sites out there that have shifted their format to prioritize video over stills photography. Gear review sites now seem to praise how well a camera captures video more so than its ability to capture still shots. Many articles on those sites are now preferring to post video articles instead of traditional written articles.
I currently own a Nikon D750, Canon 7dmk2, Canon 6dmk2, Canon R6 and a Panasonic GX85 m4/3 outfit. I'm sure my cameras might have the ability to capture video, but I didn't purchase any of them with the intention of shooting video; my goal was to capture stills. If I would have wanted a video camera, I would have purchased a dedicated video camera.
On that note, if I want to watch videos about camera gear, I'll go to YouTube.
Thanks again POTN team! Please continue to keep this site photography-based!
