Flightless ant-mimic Ichneumonid wasp with problems. Gelis sp. wasp with a missing antenna and a lot of what I assume are parasitic mites.
Taken using a 2X microscope objective on a sony A6000 body and focus stacked.

I'm still using my MPE-65 on a 5Dmk2 body that refuses to die but the microscope objective (which cost £25) I do not think is as good as the MPE optically (less contrast and some distortion at the edges) but it is so much easier to use and I can easily swap around objectives from 2x to 4X to 10X if warranted although using a 10X objective on a camera body handheld is not easy. Perhaps the main attraction apart from ease of use is being able to get much lower shooting angles because of the much smaller lens diameter. http://www.flickr.com/photos/lordv/
