Thanks, kestrels are the most common birds of pray around here, often seen hanging in the air('praying') above potential prey.

My car seems to be a good mobile hide but it flew away quite soon(in opposite direction of course so only(deleted) buttshots in flight).

The early bird...

Before we moved out to West Wales kestrels were a common sight but out here the red kite is the most likely spotted and kestrels are few and far between.

Seems to be much the same here in north Hampshire, though I have seen more kestrels this year than last.

That's some good fields you got there then! Buzzards have a pretty small territory so your guess would be correct :)

There are still a few swallows about, there are 6 roosting in my shed this evening. Any day now and they'll all be gone again and the daily joy of their chatter will be sorely missed.
