Very nice shots. Were they shot with a 600mm or 800mm f11 ? Given the aperture is f11 and the blue tit seems to miss the end of the tail, indicating just a bit of too narrow field of view in relation to a center area of autofocus.

Thanks, shot with 100-500 + 1.4 extender-> 700mm (exif above photo is correct but does not show extender). They come and go so fast I often don't have the time to zoom or re-compose.

Clear. We can't have it all I suppose (and know ;-)a ) Great shots anyhow, and only on these forums people tend to see the 'flaws' of shorted tails ;-)a

Good to see you posting (gulls  ) again.

I only use a laptop(with mouse) so sometimes process sitting on the couch with one eye on the TV and a glass of wine within reach in the evening, it improves the evil;-)a.

I like gulls, especially when they do crazy things. :-D

carrion crow mobbing a kestrel, after some slick manoeuvres the kestrel momentarily gained the upper hand, didn't last long though and they both drifted out of sight.

Cool series Sid. I recently saw a Copper's Hawk mob a RedTail who went on to dive bomb a perched Osprey, pretty cool to see.

There is quite a bit of plumage variance in Griffons, this one is my favourite.

Yeah that would be something but Eagles generally don't hangout in this particular pond. Was interesting to see never the less, would have been great to capture all three in the same frame. Sorry for the crappy shots, heavy crop and from a distance.

Really? I had no idea. The best I have seen is a bit of a neck twist, when a male spotted an attractive female on a ridge high above him.

Love the look of this image, the colours are soo rich.
