Yeah that would be something but Eagles generally don't hangout in this particular pond. Was interesting to see never the less, would have been great to capture all three in the same frame. Sorry for the crappy shots, heavy crop and from a distance.

Great to see, always good to see the smaller ones stick up for themselves! cheers :)

carrion crow mobbing a kestrel, after some slick manoeuvres the kestrel momentarily gained the upper hand, didn't last long though and they both drifted out of sight.

It’s great to witness skirmishes like that. Well done on capturing the action.

There is quite a bit of plumage variance in Griffons, this one is my favourite.

Blackbird.
I have a pair of these in the garden - they come up to the window every morning when we open the curtains and wait for a couple of grapes - which they seen to enjoy.

Camera R7 - Shot through double glazing.

Ray I've noticed your darlings, er starlings, are much spottier than ours.
Is your photo typical?

Our starlings and blackbirds are as feral as it comes.
They're gone at the first hint of a human.
Interesting differences.
She's a fine looking blackbird

Cool sequence, Sid. And look how big that crow is!

Thanks Levina, it's funny how we see things differently, I thought look how small the kestrel is!

cheers! :)

Typical of Starlings from my neck of the woods, Richard - Sometimes they descend on the birdbath in a flock and fight and frolic in it until all the water has been emptied and then fly off. I was going to comment on the markings - they all seem to have 'convict' markings - probably out on probation.:-)
The Blackbirds are friendlier and not so skittish. We have a pair that can be handfed - although they are a little bit nervous.

Maybe you only see juvenile ones or you only see the back end when they fly away.
The adults are beautiful in the right light.

Patrick that's more like ours.
Maybe we have the Dutch variety, not the inferior one's from across the channel :p (I'm sure Ray will understand understand :-) )

Agree they are beautiful birds as is yours here. Lovely photo.

That wine certainly gives excellent results in the processing :p
