Nice set, Ray.
The birds seem to be on a kind of beach. I always assumed the river Thames had hard banks.

Thanks Levina.
These birds are a rare sight in my part of the River - Gravesend. Sorry to disappoint you about the river bank - it is thick oily mud - therefore surprising that the birds are searching for food in it.
The upper reaches of the Thames, above London become grassy banks. From London down to the Isle of Grain is mainly mud. But there is some sand and shingle in places further toward the estuary.

Ah, I see. Thanks for the info. Pity about the oily mud, surprised it isn’t cleaned up.

Finally a pic from me again. An Egyptian Goose, caught, literally, in the last light of day. You might think that I boosted the colours, but I didn't. This is pretty much SOOC. Just cropped a tiny bit and resized.

carrion crow mobbing a kestrel, after some slick manoeuvres the kestrel momentarily gained the upper hand, didn't last long though and they both drifted out of sight.

The Tammy did very well here, Lester. Focus nailed. Or did you actually take it with the 7DII as the exif says?
Either way, great pic of one of my favourite songbirds.

Yes 7D2+Tamzoka, this was when I was away on holiday when the R7 was ready but I was away.

Ah, okay. As the R7 isn’t in the gear database people often fill in the 7D instead. :-)
