Thank you. I did try other postures. There weren't many practical choices. Each shell half has its own center of gravity and resists being set at an angle. They can be propped up with small objects behind them, but I arrived at the arrangement you see without having to. The main light source is a window, supplemented by LED room lights, which are too far up to do much.
