Canon has updated the original Speedlite Transmitter ST-E3-RT to the ver 2 (I don't know when). Can anyone please summarize the differences?

Really only three new things:

  • 2nd-curtain sync added
  • Support for the EL-1's ability to to do "micro" flash (1/8192 power)
  • FE [Flash Exposure] Memory, essentially the feature I call "TTL locking", like Godox's TCM (TTL Convert to Manual). A TTL-set power level can be converted to an M power ratio setting, essentially locking in the power level.

I'm a woman. I shoot with a Fuji X100T, Panasonic GX-7, Canon 5DmkII, and 50D. flickr stream (external link)
