Poor photo, but a rarity I never thought I'd see. Leucistic robin

Took my daughter out to see a baby sandhill crane that just hatched south of my house, stumbled onto this on the way. I'll definitely be spending some time trying for better shots.

Thanks. We got some good looks at the hatchling sandhill we went out for too, but the little guy is hard to see in the thick grass.

Still not the shot I want, but getting some better views. I'm wondering if this is an older bird that's used to dodging attention from predators thanks to being more visible. For a robin it's very skittish.

Is it more visible? Speckled or multicolored coats often contribute to camouflage. But, then, the white may be conspicuous owing to high reflectance.
