USS Constitution

Boston last week the USS Constitution did its semi annual repostioning sail and fired 21 gun salute taken on my S 21 phone and reworked slightly in PS. I had decided to not take the R6 due to taking my drone along Boston is relatively drone friendly but not castle island which is right by Loan airport

Nice image. Nice to see her away from the dock, but too bad about no sails (not a criticism of you).

they had a set made a few years back but determined that the power of the sails would overpower her structural integrity so she will never be under sail again sadly

They didn't restore her properly. Obviously, she once used only sails. In earlier times, her restoration wasn't very good. Famously, they removed her diagonal bracing that allowed her to be both large (for a frigate) and fast. The diagonals transferred the stress from the bow and stern to the center of the ship.
