I've seen people having problems with this combo. Anybody using these together? Just checking because I'm thinking of buying it
to use with my 90D.

It looks like no one is using this combo. I did get an answer from B&H. They said the Yongnuo YN24EX is compatable
with the 90D. I know it should be. But beintg the YN24ex was released a couple of years before the 90D. I'm not sure if it plays well with
the 90D. Still looking for someone saying it works fine with the 90D

if you type in the flash and Canon in Flickr you will find numerous examples of this flash used with bodies like 70D, 80D, 6D, 5D3, 5D4. I can't imagine there is anything about the 90D that would render the combo suspect.

Buy it from Amazon and keep the packaging in good condition; if there is a problem with the later body you can send it back within 30 days.

Actually on the Amazon site it is not in the list of compatible Canon cameras, stops at 80D. Could be they haven't updated the list of course.

I don't know for sure but in this video Stewart Wood mentions that the 90D is not compatible with Yongnuo YN24EX (a little after the 4:30 mark).
You can do more investigating into the matter and hopefully someone else will chime in here.

Google search revealed issues of 90D and YN24EX

https://www.dpreview.com/forums/thread/4435390 (external link)

https://community.usa.canon.com …-on-Canon-90D/td-p/318285 (external link)

I have not investigated further, but the above issue was found very quickly! While someone reported on POTN, https://photography-on-the.net …/showthread.php?t=1482886

"So far I've used the YN24EX on an 80D, 70D, and 600D without any problems.",

that statement does demonstrate that problems newer models CAN arise, where older models worked without problems. Similarly Sigma lens issues were often found in the past with newer model cameras, so Sigma developed its lens dock to permit the owner to download updated firmware rather than have to send it in to Sigma.

I saw Stewarts video but somehow missed the statement about the newer Canon cmaeras.

I also searched and found the same links Wilt linked. Read them all. So Apparantly a no go as of now.
I was hopng to hear someone say " It workd great on my 90D". But not to be.

Thanks
