A poor idea, unless they plan to introduce collars for lenses which never offered,
but should have had them. Case in point: Tamron Adaptall-2 SP 60-300.

The SP 60-300 has often been deemed the 'prime which is a zoom'.
I can attest to that.

But it needs a tripod collar, which was never offered.
