My first impressions with the R7. I was a little concerned with the hard hitting shutter but it seems to be OK

The sound of the R7 mechanical shutter did seem loud to me after using the R5, especially after spending more time recently with ES on the R5, but it has not yet been my experience that it scares birds any more than any other mechanical shutter I have used. I actually had an Ovenbird on the ground who was actually curious about the sound, and approached me right after any burst. It wasn't coincidence of it coming closer, anyway, because it would look up from its foraging when I bursted.

I nearly dropped it first time I tried it on MS.

Still cringe with the noise of EFCS in a hide situation.

When I got to one of my spots there wasn't much action so I practised on pigeons. It held this one quite well.
