What was the shutter count when you returned it?

Was this the best ever $100 you have spent on photography ?

it ended up over 6,000

Anyone tried R7 with RF 24-240 lens. How is it on the far end (240mm -> 384 crop)

Just starting to play with some of my different lenses. Weather in his area has been crap the past two days so not a lot of opportunities.

Grabbed this shot of my back porch for you, nothing special just across to the neighbors yard on an overcast morning. +1 exposure on the camera when I took it, very minor crop after straightening.

LOL

The best description of just how deranged bird photographers are was done by POTN member magoosmc years ago. A newbie asked advice and this is what he said:

Still makes me laugh.

Oh that is gold…..and sadly the truth.

A few shots from early this morning. Not much activity overall, and shortly after the sun came up temps were edging close to 100 degrees so I didn't stick around all that long either!

It will be a huge difference. I still have a Rebel XSi which gets some use, but it doesn't compare to my 7D2 in most measures.

Yes when you enable burst mode it automatically choose preshooting

Went back to the National Zoo in Washington, DC today to try out the R7 with the Sigma 100-400C and TC-1401 1.4x TC

This time I turned off auto-ISO. But it was a bright sunny morning with deep shadows, and the max aperture of the lens+TC at full zoom is f/9, so I set the ISO to 800.

Canon EOS R7 + Sigma 100-400C + Sigma TC-1401 (EFL 508mm)
Av mode, f/9, 1/1600 sec, ISO 800
Slight lighting and contrast mods in post but no cropping.

I love these guys. They just stand there and pose for you. It's like shooting fish in a barrel!
This shot needed a little bit of highlight/shadow adjustment in post because the sun was behind him.

Canon EOS R7 + Sigma 100-400C + Sigma TC-1401 (EFL 560mm)
Av mode, f/9, 1/320 sec, ISO 800
Lighting and contrast mods in post and slight crop (maybe 10%).

The EOS R7 is soooo fast...
(How fast is it?)
It's so fast, it makes a cheetah look like it's sitting still!

One more. This was also taken with the TC on the lens but the EFL is only 220 mm.

mcoren,
How are you processing those? They look super noisy to me. Really scratching my head about it being ISO 800.
