I am getting ready to purchase a Canon 300mm ver 1 and I wanted to make sure that it will work with a 1.4 teleconverter. The bodies I will be using are an R6 and 1DXII if that makes a difference. Can you please advise if I will be able to use this combo? Thank you in advance.

Kevin

At one time I owned the Canon 300 v1 and 1.4xII. They worked great together.

When you see my camera gear you'll think I'm a pro.
When you see my photos you'll know that I'm not.

WIKI: The EF 300mm lens refers to a family of telephoto prime lenses made by Canon, five of which have been sold to the general public and one of which was only made on special order. The lenses have an EF type mount which fits the Canon EOS line of cameras.

So we don't know which 300 you are talking about, although I've never heard of an EF 300 not working with 1.4TC.

I can personally vouch for both the EF 300mm f2.8 v.1 and the EF 300mm f4 as compatible with a 1.4 TC II.

I can also. Rented one, used with my 2.0 Tele. Worked great.

Wish I owned one. LOL.

No longer made. Crying.

Screw those mirrorless soulless cameras and their fancy R lenses. JK.
