Me and my brother fishing on a very hot day many years ago in Chokoloskee, Florida with a couple of hot cigars, celebrating the hot streak of 120 fish caught and released that day.

What a great collection. I have a hard enough time deciding most times, but the set this week really are so good. Pretty well any one could be the week’s winner. My reactions, in order of posting:

Dilorenzo – Great light, colour, action, body position. And the pleased look on subject’s face.
Ltdave - That is Hot Stuff. Not just Habanero (100 times hotter than a jalapeño on the Scoville), but Fiery Hababero.
Timphoto – Professor Google tells me that rocket engines can hit nearly 6,000 deg F. So this is probably the hottest shot of the bunch. Also a great image at an historic moment – captured at just the the right moment.
Eidelweiss – Powerful image, also framed at an ideal moment – motion, drama. B&W treatment also perfect for this. Just read your note about it in your gallery, too. Wow.
OldCrow – Another great composition, lighting and colours. Hot. Juicy.
Happygav – Lovely arrangement, as are the colours, focus/bokeh, lighting. All inviting.
Torchrider – Great portraits – thought it was Fidel and Che at first. B&W just right for this. Hope it’s framed and hanging in both your houses. (120 fish! – that’s just Gross; pun intended).
TerryPink – Death Valley – yup, that is hot. Those colours say it, too - hot and dry. Really nice shadow play, and the branches like cleaned bones.

So which one? I’m going with Eidelweiss, by a whisp of smoke. HMs to Torchrider, Dilorenzo, Timphoto, Happygav ... and the rest. All hotshots. Thanks for the submissions.
