This challenge begins when posted and ends on Monday, Aug 15, 2022, midnight GMT. Winner of this challenge will be announced shortly thereafter.

In this challenge we are looking for your best STAIRS photo. Good luck!

The Challenge Rules:

1. Camera: Any DIGITAL CAMERA is allowed, not just DSLR.
2. Time: Any on-topic photo taken at any time is eligible, although photos that have won other competitions should NOT be entered.
3. Size: Please visit Image Posting Rules.
4. Post Processing: Do whatever you like and the host will decide if it works.
5. Posting: ONE PHOTO per photographer per challenge. List camera model & lens used. Post brief EXIF data: ISO, shutter speed and aperture.
6. Commenting: No commenting during challenge. When the posting is closed and a winner declared, comments can be made in this thread.
7. Keep it clean, and both Family and Work safe.
8. Have questions, PM me.
9. Have lots of FUN!

Thanks everyone for the excellent and varied entries this week.

Eidelweiss - I like the contrast between the old worn stairs and the bright foliage creeping along the right.

dilorenzo1954 - Love the geometry and the repeating patterns of that old stairwell. Hope you didn't have to climb up all those stairs.

LtDave - your composition and lighting do a good job of leading the eye in and down those stairs. Was it a lighthouse or an old tower?

RDWP - Interesting stairs in the cliff hugging trail. Reminds me of some of the beach access stairs along our north coast.

I know everyone says it - it's tough to judge these challenges. This one is no exception. This week first place honors go to LtDave with an honorable mention to dilorenzo1954.

yes it was an old lighthouse near the tip of the lower peninsula of michigan. we visited 3 lighthouses that day. i THINK it was Old Presque Isle Light built in 1840 (now decommissioned)

Optical Illusion Stairs............... Ha Ha, I like to add my entry after the deadline, so I have no chance of picking the next Challenge. Which I wouldn't be able to judge, post and add comments as next monday I will be AFK and ISP ----Yeah, taking a digital vaca.
