Price has been lowered. Tough to get a 1TB external SSD for much less.

I have one of these drives, but not the “Shield” version. Awesome in terms of speed; up to 1050MB/s, USB 3.2 Gen2, Rugged, IP65 Rated, for Photographers, Content Creators and Gaming.

Back on sale as of 09/20, again at $100.

2 TB is at $200.

Another point, Best Buy seems to be matching the Amazon price. See https://www.bestbuy.com …k/6501713.p?skuId=6501713 (external link)

Nice; if I were working, currently, I'd be all over the 2TB. Got a 1TB T5 that I've been using for years to keep my gaming library portable and it's been awesome; would love to upgrade to 2TB and have a good drive on hand 'in the field'. These things are a great, portable form factor and perform quite nicely.

Agree very much with the comments. I too have T5’s, two 1TB’s to be exact. I bought them “Geek Squad Refurbished” from Best Buy or around $50 to $60. What surprised me is they both had about 6 hours useae. When I asked my next door neighbor about this, he explained that whe a clients computer was brought in for service, it was backed up to SSD drives, and then serviced. If the backup wasn’t needed, then it was blown away. After a short period of time the drives where then refurbished and sold at a deep discount.
