May I volunteer to update the Gear Datasbase?

I know everyone's busy and may even see this as drudgery. I'd like to volunteer to update it based on the requests made by users.

Users: Kindly share the correct proper product name as marketed by the camera brand to make it faster for me to update your requested gear.

Kindly limit it to

- camera (body)
- lens
- smartphone model

I will not entertain

- flashes
- bags/backpacks/cases
- tripods
- lit all

Reading the big thread about this, I saw where Pekka had described some of the ambiguity of determining body and lens from the EXIF. Getting that part to work is crucial to having those entries in the gear database.

I have actually done some php-based EXIF extraction before and I would be happy to help with that part, but I think this is still something that Pekka wants to do on his own.
