I have opened a case with Canon. I sent this to them to open the case. Has anyone had this experience?

Canon, when R6 is in manual, auto WB, Auto ISO, it seems that when the ISO is 100 (auto) I will have to Manually adjust the shutter or Aperture setting for exposure compensation instead of the camera adjusting the ISO higher, it will stay at 100. Am I missing a setting somewhere? I did not have this issue with my 7D MK II. Thank you, Tom

What are the conditions you are shooting under when this happens? It *sounds* like you're shooting in too bright of conditions and the camera cannot go any lower on ISO to compensate; meaning you have to adjust one or both of the other two to lower your exposure.

There may be merit in your suggestion, ha! Of course there is … lol I mean no disrespect. I was shooting as the sun was going down over the trees, 1/2 way below across a swamp into the sun. I was thinking myself that the ISO wanted to go down to 50 but my Low threshold is 100. I don’t ever recall having this issue with my 7D MK II, this is my first full frame. Could there be a difference between the two cameras in this respect?

Snydremark,

Thank you. You hit the nail on the head. I set the minimum ISO to 400 and got the same results when it bottomed out, wanted to go lower. I am not sure why I have not experienced this before on my 7D MK II, probably just the photographer glitching. Thanks again.

Glad it helped :) That's why I keep what's in my sig; it reminds me to check my self at the same time I'm checking my gear for errors :D It's possible that you just didn't shoot precisely the same type of image, or maybe you're using a different metering method that acted more in your favor on the 7DII. I've never set limits on Auto ISO w/ the 7DII, 5DIV or R5, so I don't know whether they handle those settings differently; but, the metering should be relatively close assuming same metering mode, subject, light, etc.
