Took a day trip to Galveston to watch the USS Texas being towed to dry dock for refurbishment.

After refurbishing, was it supposed to return to it's spot next to San Jacinto, or going elsewhere?

I read that, after reworking, the USS Texas will stay somewhere in the Houston area where there are more people nearby to pay for the visits. Remains to be seen.
