Just curious to know if anyone out there still uses an R6? Seems like every other thread in every Canon forum is about the R7, R3 or R5, however very few are about the R6.

I currently have an R6, and I'm happy with it. I'm not looking for validation or comfort, I'm just curious to know why so little mention of the R6.

My follow up question is, if you got rid of your R6, what was your reason?

Easy; the R6 users are all out shooting and not suffering from GAS :D Everyone else is out there measurbating to figure out whether they bought the right thing :-P

Seriously though, there're a ton of R6 shooters at the moment; look for them in the thread linked above or in one of the birding threads.

A 6Dii was my first FF DSLR and I still own it. It's a wonderful camera. I use it all the time, pretty much interchangeably with my 5Div. Tends to hold a wide lens. But, like your description of the R6, nobody ever talks about it here.

When I discovered Peak Design straps, I put a gray one on the 6Dii. It already had a gray bottom plate, so I began thinking of it as the Gray Lady. Name kinda fits. Understated, but well mannered. I imagine its R progeny would fit nicely in that role. I've seriously considered making one my first mirrorless body.

It feels like the R6 is Canon's middle child! :D It gets little, if any, attention!

As of this posting among all the Canon Cameras (external link) the EOS R6 (external link)'s 5th most used in the Flickr Community.

On bhphotovideo among all Canon Cameras (external link) the EOS R6 (external link) is the 3rd best selling camera. Among all Digital Cameras (external link) in general the EOS R6 is the 4th best selling camera.

My guess would be EOS R6 owners aren't that geeky with their camera.

I'm one who is very happy with my R6 and use it all the time. In fact today I shot a 1,700 frames with it at a cross county meet. I also have a 5DIV that I almost never use anymore because my R6 is so good.
