I'm not competing this week, but want to share one of my favorite parts of school - graduation. In this case an American citizen of Japanese descent who couldn't finish her college education because she was sent to a WW-II interment camp. 70 years later she finally received her diploma.

The deadline for entries is over. Rob was a little late, but since Newfoundland was just hit with a hurricane he has a solid excuse. :-)

Ed - great timing on the quarterback pass! What's high school or college without a football team?

LrDave - and what's a school football game without a school band and for a bonus, some weather to mess things up?

OldCrow - good examples of school tools although I'm wondering what kind of homework requires graph paper, a protractor, and crayons?

Terry - We can always count on you for a unique and interesting take on the week's theme. Well done!

Rob - Frosh week orientation brings back some seriously old memories. I think I still have my freshman beanie somewhere in the attic.

Now comes the hard part...

Honorable mentions to TerryPink for the unique interpretation.

3rd place to Rob for the frosh orientation image.

2nd place to LtDave - kudos for getting out in the horrible weather for that shot!

1st place to Ed (dilorenzo1954) for his excellent image of the football pass.

Thanks to everyone for participating!

Take it away Ed.

Congratulations Ed, a worthy winning image.

Tim, I can't recall the last time I used crayons in school bot we used graph paper and protractors in our high school math classes.
