I've noticed in past of my own and it happens when I think nothing is happening so hit SUBMIT again and it ends up double posted.

I noticed the original post mentioned "from different accounts". That's probably a bad thing. Either a bad software bug, or some people have multiple accounts in violation of the rules here.

.
I have had double posts happen from time to time over the years. . Fortunately, I have always caught it right off, and been able to immediately delete the duplicate.

I think it happens when either my computer, my internet connection, or the POTN server computer is a wee bit slow. . Normally, when I hit the "SUBMIT" button, the post is submitted and appears on POTN within a second or two. . But if something in the chain is lagging, and I hit "SUBMIT", and it doesn't appear as a new post, within one or two seconds, I probably hit "SUBMIT" again, thinking that I must not have hit properly it the first time, or that it didn't "take".

This happens on Fstoppers much more frequently than it happens here on POTN. . I see it over there on at least a weekly basis, not only with my own posts, but with other's posts, as well. . But over there we don't have the ability to delete a post (at least I haven't figured out how to do it), so the double posts either stay there forever, or until someone from Fstoppers comes along and removes them.

.

"Your" and "you're" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"They're", "their", and "there" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"Fare" and "fair" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one. The proper expression is "moot point", NOT "mute point".

Those posts have timestamps a few minutes apart, so they are probably intentional. When a post is submitted succesfully, the draft is removed and lots of other checks done so there is no possibility for unintentional double posting (if you hit submit several times, it won't make a difference). Of course there are always unknown bugs, but I do not think they are in effect here. If there is such a bug-produced double post, the duplicate should be deletable.
