What's the best flash diffuser for macro? Not really looking for a DIY thing as I just want a good product that works well and doesn't look janky.

Thanks guys!

Everybody makes their own. What does that tell you?

There are various commercial diffusers available for twin flashes or included with them. They work well depending on subject and your preferences. I don't use commercial macro diffusers for regular on-camera flashes because IMO do-it-yourself ones are better. But you can read about some of them here. https://petapixel.com …fusers-macro-photography/ (external link)

The manufacturers make big stuff yet the small stuff is near zip so that does motivate some DIY level.

I have several of these when doing small items. The light falloff yields about 8" so for jewelry it works well with speedlights and bounce cards. I have the cable for ETTL which has uses on small sets. If you need to extend the light more than a foot or two out it was not easy to work with. The cable is also nice for HSS.

DIY. diffusers can be as good as any diffuser out there. But for commercial ones, I do suggest checking out at the Homemade Flash Diffusers for Macro Photography page on (gag) Facebook. Besides DIY diffusers, there are several individuals who build diffusers and advertise for them there. Keep scrolling down. You will see them. The best one I remember seeing is this maker: https://linktr.ee/cygnustech (external link)
