The Heron, the Vole and the Kite

This was one of those moments, I spent about 2 hrs watching the Grey Heron, suddenly it went into hunting mode and plucked a vole from the grass. After manipulating the vole for a couple of minutes into a suitable position for swallowing it, a Red Kite appeared to steal the meal. The Heron dropped the vole and I believe it escaped!
