Yes, the Orange thread. Industrial would also work. So would the Windmills thread. Show us your Clouds? Not a great landscape -- it barely fits that, so probably not there. Definitely works for the Show us your Schoolbuses thread. And the bus has Windows -- yup, Let's See Your Windows thread. Roads thread maybe?

So, you have the option to place the shot in one or all of those threads, I guess. ;-)a

No, no, no. You have to pick one.

Honestly, I was just having fun. And there is no buses thread. Yet. But if I were to pick one... Windmills?

Honest question. If you could only put this picture in one place, where would you put it?

I drove up to a wind farm yesterday. I got pictures from that trip all over here. Different pictures in different threads. I ran into (away from, really) a group of high-school kids on a field trip. Got this shot of them on the school bus. I rather like it. Where's it go?

Is there a 1950s thread? That's where it looks like the bus would fit!:-P

Still waiting for the wisdom they promised would be worth getting old for.

This is pure photojournalism. If there was such a thing as newspapers anymore, it wouldn't be unusual for a reporter and a photographer to show up at a place like this for an environmental or economic or political or government story. Might just be a puff piece for Puget Sound Energy.

If it was me covering that story, that bus picture would have been my lead shot. The future of technology and the future of America. Money to be made pulling clean power out of the sky. Takes a little book learning, though.

There's no thread for that here. I'd need to post in 3 or 4 different threads to get half the eyeballs I'd get in a landscape thread. I could put it there. It's got foliage and sky. But it's not really in the spirit, and I respect the spirit. There's some spirit to cross posting too.

I rarely go out to shoot a thing, or even a type of thing. At least not to just chronicle its existence for people who already have an interest in pictures of that thing. The goal is always some approximation of art and I'd like to believe there's a wider audience.

Here's one that you probably already saw in the Wires thread. Sorry about that. And if you're in favor of green energy, you probably already understand the looming capacity problems we're facing putting new technology on an antiquated transmission system.

I hadn't seen it, but that's a very cool juxtaposition of old & new tech... :-)

What would you want as a title for the pic? What is the pic about?

It isn't easy to see a connection between the windmill and the bus and the sky. It's hard to know what the photo is saying. I think it is quite a nice shot, though. It has strong design elements. Maybe there are threads for that. In the meantime, you could put it into the bus thread.

https://photography-on-the.net …/showthread.php?t=1512846

Now I don't want to change the subject or anything, but why is it that school buses have such long and conspicuous rear ends? Regular buses don't have that.

Hmmmmm. . It appears that you didn't get my joke. . Or perhaps you did, and your response was a joke that I didn't get.

Surprised that the connection between smelt and elderberries wasn't quickly picked up on by the membership here. . Especially so because several of you are from the United Kingdom.

.

"Your" and "you're" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"They're", "their", and "there" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"Fare" and "fair" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one. The proper expression is "moot point", NOT "mute point".

Perhaps they had to stop at the windmill for fuel on the way to school :)
