Mar 31, 2006 02:01 | #21 thanks for the replies guys...hope the 17-40 does have a date code??..the 17-40 lens is pretty hard to source here at moment, most of the places are waiting for canon to deliver to the uk, and have a backlog of customers waiting (well thats what they tell me),thats why i,m wondering if this lens is ok or if it is a 'return' and need to find out wether its an old lens or why it has been returned? hopefully if it is a return it didnt suit the photographers needs as opposed to bad focus etc, anyway im off to try it and to make sure that they have a 'no quibble' returns policy.wish me luck ..been lookin for this lens for 3 months now.
