Dear Board,

I have a Canon 7D that was working perfectly yesterday. Today when I turned it on the info screen that displays the shooting information is rather dark and has horizontal lines through several areas of the screen.

Switching to view the pictures on the card the screen is very dark and almost unviewable. The same when I switch to view menu selections.

Pictures taken with the camera are accurately exposed and focused when viewed on my computer.

Any suggestions as to what could be wrong, or is the LCD just dying? I've recharged the battery, reset the camera, and changed cards but the results are the same.

Regards,

Tim Murphy

Could be a bad connection inside. Probably need repair to get back in working order. Or it's telling you it's time to upgrade...

LCD dying or damaged. I agree with the post above.

Unfortunately, I agree with both of you. I'm sure the camera is dying even if it isn't quite dead yet.

I loved my 7D, so much that I have a new used one on the way.
