Sure does, and great to see it it looks the same as it did when I was there 40 years years ago!

Ha. Our friends are here and they were also here 40 years ago. You would not recognise Albufeira and area. It's getting too popular.

Saturday market in Loule Portugal.

The sky was like that and ½ later the sun came out. I didn't enhance it.

I put in an order for an R6ii through Hunts Photo in Providence RI but will pick it up in Manchester NH to save the $210 plus in sales tax as I am halfway between RI and NH. I could go somewhere else like B&H but I have gotten virtually all my cameras from Hunts and have a good relationship there, I am not just a number.
I really want to see how clean it is at 25,600 ISO as it is often dark around here, sun not that strong for running 1/2000 or 1/2500 for birds with a slow lens

Then my big question will be, do I sell my 5DIV which has only 50,000 clicks on it so far.

Yes that's what I ended up doing. Once I had an R6II I rarely used my 5DIV anymore. I'd sell soon. They are losing value. Enjoy your R6

Just sent it off the KEH, I had sold my 6Dii to them when I got the 5DIV that I bought used.

I was also going to sell my 90D but the covering on the grip where my fingers go is almost worn away and it has 56,000 clicks so was told in that condition only worth about $250 or so, worth more to me as a backup for my R7

I have not used my old EF lenses since getting the RF 100-500 but that pic looks really good.

Hopefully this is a simple question. I just received my R6 Mark II and have been customizing the settings. Somewhere I set something that I didn’t want to in the AF settings. When I try to focus on something I get a grid of green squares marking what look to be like high contrast areas elsewhere in the frame and I am not getting the focus I want.

I have been watching many YouTube videos and I know I saw this, but I can’t seem to find it now.

Any help would be appreciated!

My local camera shop had told me over the weekend that it would be 2-4 weeks before they would get a R6ii in, they emailed yesterday that it is there. I just shipped my 5DIV off to be sold that is going to help pay for it, although more the fact that I have too many cameras and want to make space in the camera bag. I still have my 5D Classic on the shelf.
Anyhow I will be getting it Thursday

The R5 and R6 have the same AF system, but the R6 mkII improves on these.

I expect the same will be used in the soon to be released R5 mkII.

Any suggestions for an SD card?

I only shoot stills and wondering if I need to bother with an UHS-II card. I will occasionally shoot high burst rates but can probably live with 20fps.

I'm looking either:

  • SanDisk 64GB Extreme PRO SDXC 200MB/s, UHS-I (write speed 90MB/s)
  • Lexar Professional 1667x SD Card 64GB, SDXC UHS-II (not much more expensive but the write speed is similar -70MB/s for the 64GB card and 120MB/s for the 128GB)

    @Yno
Green squares mean you have camera in One Shot mode versus blue for Servo. Check your AF Tracking setting. Check your AF Area setting. With the first one on and the second one on smaller area and the camera in Servo, put the box in the viewfinder near a person's face and the camera will lock on. It will lock on the eye if your have Eye Tracking on.

Hopefully this will get you on your way....
