I've seen a few articles on this subject. First - cool photos of a snow leopard from a woman who walked 100 miles in the Himalayas to get the photos. Then some question as to whether or not those photos were real or composites. That was pretty much decided that they were composites, which she didn't disclose. Ok, not the worst sin. But the latest is very damning - stolen photos.

It's good that this case was made public. I hope the people who intended to do so will be convinced that their deed will be revealed by the professional community. It's bad that things like this happen...

That is crazy to see I had no idea people would even consider this today with how easy it would be for someone to catch you like that?!

As a victim I experienced something similar.

One of the myriad of reasons why I wish I never took up wildlife photography.

The victimizers were eNviRonMentAlisTs who receive foreign money for their activities but cannot be bothered to pay for their own gear or pay for the services of people who put money into the investment.

I call this a mendicant mentality... or in short... a thief. They leverage their "doing good" to win in the court of public opinion vs a "greedy" photographer.

If I could go back to 2008 I'd have chosen to take up my MBA instead of doing birding. It was an epic waste of time for anyone in their 20s.
