RF 70-200 Lens Hood v EF 70-200

I kind of like how the RF 70-200 lens hood has the little opening to allow you to turn filters when it's mounted.
Does anybody know (not guess but tried) if the RF 70-200 lens hood would fit on the EF 70-200 2.8 IS III? They are both 77mm so it seems they should fit unless the mechanisms are completely different.

The filter thread size has little bearing on the actual size of the bayonet hood.

The EF 70-200mm f/2.8 IS II and IS III both use an ET-87 lens hood. (87mm bayonet mount opening)


The RF 70-200mm f/2.8 IS uses a smaller ET-83F (W III) lens hood and will not fit. (83mm bayonet mount opening)
