So, I've done a fair bit of street photography over the years. It's something for which I have a great passion, having been homeless at one time myself. I have wrestled with the ethics of street photography of the homeless, although I won't go into my conclusions here.
Since I have developed the chronochromagraph (see my signature for an explanation. The link takes you to my website), it is now possible to mix Street scenes with studio photography and that is what I've done here.
The street scene was captured from a moving car with my Fuji xt2. I then edited the image and brought it up on my computer monitor. My apprentice then placed my Canon 5D Mark II on a tripod facing my computer screen, opened the shutter in bulb mode, image the computer screen with a 50 mm for approximately 2 and 1/2 seconds then capped the lens. She then brought the lens into a completely dark room and changed it to a 12 to 24 ultra wide with a modified lens cap. Next, she placed the camera on a second tripod aimed at a dark, empty set where I posed as the subject on the right and fire a flash. She then placed the 5d2 on a third tripod aimed at the same set, adjusted the modified lens cap while I posed as the second subject laying down and fired another flash. Then she closed the shutter. This photo was edited in Adobe camera raw.
Technically this is one of the more difficult shots I've ever done. Also the level of difficulty in melding a street scene with Studio subjects is very high. But we're learning.
This photo was taken with the oreston 50mm f/1.8 @ f/11 and a modified sigma 12-24. @ f/8.
