In the past it was purchases via brick and mortar store, not to far. If camera would appears BOA, it was trip to the store for exchange or full refund.
Was this not an option? Five days after receiving should be within return policy...

I rarely remember a time where I thought I had a defective product and the other side offered to pay to ship it to them to review it and validate.
