Is it possible Canon changed the viewfinder illumination choices in a firmware update and the manual hasn't kept up?

Do you use mirror lock-up, DLO, High ISO noise reduction or something like that? Card speed only matters when the buffer is full, not for the first pictures. Maybe total reset if bought second hand. Rob-P wrote in post #19488258 Update, I might reset, but in the meantime, my other problem has been resolved. When I took a shot using anything except A+, the cycle time between shots was about 4 seconds. This was due to Lens aberation correction > Digital lens optimiser = ON This slows down picture taking time, turn it off again (no idea why it was on anyway) finger on the shutter brrrrrap, shot after shot after shot. Sorted. Raised a ticket with Canon as according to P150 of the manual, it reads as if I can do what I want. re the focus lighting up red. I'll post a definitive reply here in case anyone is interested. Maybe I should have written it out but you know DLO=Digital Lens Optimiser?
