Is there any 16 or 17 inch laptop great for photo editing and long 5-7 hour battery life? Does something like this exist?

And do you plan to utiliize a higher capacity external storage unit (HD/SSD) rather than the limited capacity storage unit that comes in the laptop? Not sure why you say this. Laptops today pretty much rival desktop PCs. Something like a Dell XPS 17 has a 17" monitor with 1900x1200 and you can pop in a 4tb SSD for about $120. LGs Gram 17Z90N has a native resolution of 2560 x 1600. And if you want to splurge a bit more, the Dell XPS 13 9310 offers a 4k display with a native resolution of 3840 x 2400 and a touch panel to boot. Or for a blazing fast 4k laptop the Alienware X17 has a 4k 17" display, 2tb storage and either a I7 or i9 processor. There are many options out there. Like photography, budget is the key. What are you willing to spend. Not sure why, but call me JJ.
