Apr 15, 2023 18:17 | #22 And here we are, 4 weeks and 1 day after the first shots were taken. We're getting close to the first flight! Marty has been hopping around on the branches and is starting to take little flights to another branch further away on the tree. Biff will hop around on the branches, but stays mostly near the nest. Biff is the bigger of the two is much more outgoing. Standing up tall and stretching fairly often. Here's a little conversation I imagine happening between them in. ![]() Biff: "I am the captain now!" Dad: "The hell you are!" Fast forward a few weeks.... Biff: "Yeah, we'll see dad!" I plan to get shots from my roof at least once a week, and will be updating this thread so you all can watch them grow with us. Here are some shots from the first two days after we found them. The last shot is Dad. Excellent series Wayne, thanks for sharing. I'm very envious, we have common buzzards nesting here but their nest is hidden by the surrounding trees so I've never managed to see all of this. Top job!
