When I am at my PC and using the Chrome Browser putting an image into a post here is super easy. Click share, choose BBC code, paste that URL into the post here and bingo the image displays immediately and perfectly.

Using Chrome in my Android phone or tablet is different. I am not given BBC in the share options. The Copy URL to Clipboard and paste into a post here doesn't make the photo display in the post.

What am I doing wrong?

Chuck

With Flickr, you should use our EMBED IMAGE tool found in post editor.

1. Open Flickr image gallery page where you see your image you want to embed.
2. Copy the URL of that page from address line.
3. Paste the URL to the EMBED IMAGE text field in post editor. **
4. Press "FETCH" and you'll get a thumbnail under it.

When you click that thumbnail the image is inserted to post's cursor position along with textual info (gallery owner, link address).

** in mobile editor: to access that EMBED IMAGE tool click "Images" and then "From web". You can also switch to full editor by clicking "Switch to desktop mode" in bottom left corner of the mobile editor, to see all tools in one view.

@PEKKA Thank you for the help, Pekka.

I misspoke a bit. I was confusing Flickr through a web browser and the Flickr mobile Android app. The mobile app gives me an image URL that is short and is something "Fetch" can't understand. Flickr accessed through Chrome gives an image URL that "Fetch" uses perfectly. The app in my phone was being called up at a point during POTN post editing and getting in the way. I was deleted the app and will use a proper browser going forward.

THANK YOU.
