I bought my Canon 90D back in September 2019 and paid for the 4 year Canon Care Pack.

I have never had any problems with my camera body or the 18mm-135mm kit lens that came with it.

Should I send in my body and lens to have Canon go over everything just to make sure everything is up-to-snuff?

If I do this, how do I go about doing this? If I do send it in can I then get additional warranty for $XXX ??

Thank you

Charles

Is it the CarePak Plus program. Among other things, it gives you

Camera Maintenance with Sensor Cleanings

Canon Maintenance Service, designed to help keep your gear in optimal working condition, is included for EOS Cameras and EF/RF Lenses one time per year for each year of your coverage period.

Free Two-Way Shipping

Free shipping to and from Canon for all service and repairs. Simply call for a pre-paid shipping label for your product.

Just give them a call (1-833-CAREPAK) and let them know what you want and for a shipping label.

CC always welcome.

I sent my camera body and kit lens in on Monday May1, and on Friday May 5th I got the body back without the lens. Seems there was a bit of confusion on the lens but that has been taken care of and the lens is already on the return trip back to me as it is scheduled to be back to me by Monday May 8.

There was a surprise extra paper included with my body.

No they did not ship the 5D body with my 90D but I was surprised they shipped this paper with my body!!

I do not own a 5D Mark IV Body

Would’ve been nice if they sent the 5D4 with the paper, or instead of the paper. Oh well, better luck next time.

I would not / could not have kept the 5D4 body. I would have called Canon to report that error.

"Where's the 5DIV...it was not in the return shipping box?!"

Response from Canon: "Our records do not show your name associated with CPS Member Number 801284XXX. We are sorry for the confusion we may have caused."

"OK, just checking...in case Canon asked me to return athe mistaken shipment"
